Easy Taco Melts

Ingredients

1lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef

1package (1 oz) Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix

2/3 cup water

1 1/2 cups Old El Paso™ Thick 'n Chunky salsa 

1can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury™ Grands!™ biscuits 

1/2cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese or Mexican cheese blend (2 oz) 

1cup sour cream, if desired


Steps


  1.  In medium saucepan or skillet, cook beef, drain.  
  2. Add taco seasoning mix, water and 1/2 cup of the salsa until thickened.

      3. Press each biscuit into 6-inch round. 

      4. Spoon 1/3 cup meat mixture and 1 tablespoon cheese onto center of each round. 

      5. Fold dough in half over filling; press to seal. 

      6. Place on greased cookie sheet.

     7. Bake at 375°F 9 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. 

     8. Serve with remaining salsa and sour cream.
